Great food, warm friendly people
Great food, great prices. We will drive an hour each way to eat there. We tried their breakfast for the first time, excellent, it was a good portion of food. We had breakfast again this Sunday, 2 meals for a total of $10.75 plus a tip. And the food is excellent.
This was our families favorite restaurant but on a Sunday after church it all changed for us. Service has never been very good but we over looked that due to the great food and good prices. After waiting over an hour for burgers and fries and one grilled cheese sandwich. Excuse was new kitchen staff. But then the food came out and had to send some back because it was hard and cold. Not ONCE DID THE MANAGER OR OWNER CAME OUT TO SPEAK TO US. The waitress had to keep apologizing for the wait and then the cold food. Came out and then said her boss said to offer us free desert. Worst experience in a restaurant with my family. I was highly dissatisfied and mad because we live five mins from the restaurant.
Food was fresh and tasted good. My husband got fried shrimp and onion rings, I had a fried filet sandwich that I really enjoyed. Sweet tea was good too. I gave four stars because of the food delay and waitress didnt check up on us and I had to ask for refills.
This is a very nice, friendly old fashioned diner. It opens at 6AM so it fits my needs on the occasional trip to the area. HUGE hot cakes with breakfast. One of the few occasions that I couldn't clean my plate.
