The instructor, Kevin Outten, was a very good instructor and knowledgeable. He was very professional and through. He ensured that everyone even at different levels of experience with handguns had a solid understanding of what is entailed in a CCDW. He covered the basics of a handgun, from all the parts of one to how to break it down and proper techniques of how to hold and shoot, and even goes over state law with you. His range was adequate and the meals his wife provided were awesome! I definitely suggest everyone interested in weapons to take his class. He makes it worth it, and is a good time too.
Before I took this course, I was not very comfortable firing a handgun. I was also not familiar with the law aspect of conceal carry. Kevin Outten was a very knowledgeable, personable and organized instructor. Range facilities were more than adequate and the lunch provided was great, many thanks to his wife for that. Everything in the class was laid out from eye dominance, the proper holding of the handgun, to the proper stance. Learning the basics really improved my overall confidence with the handgun. This gun course is a great experience for a first time shooter or an experienced shooter and I would definitely recommend it to my family and friends.
Very good class! The instructor was very professional and knowledgeable. They truly care about their students. You will leave with the tools to be a responsible gun owner, a safer more accurate shot, and with a full tummy. Lunch was amazing.
This is an excellent class to learn about all aspects of owning and using firearms. Class is well designed to meet the needs of all owners. Range is provided to meet the needs of the class. Kevin is excellent teaching all skill levels. Well done will highly recommend!!!
Ken Outten was an excellent instructor of the NRA basic pistol course. He curtailed his instruction to meet the needs of a diverse group of participants, some who were experienced shooters and others, including myself, with very little experience. He went into detail about all of the basics of pistol safety and use and included a section on the relative laws in Delaware. I was nervous at the onset of the course, but by the time we went to the range I felt a lot more confident with his support. I would suggest this course to anyone interested. Kudos to his wife Ginger, who assisted in the course and with the range work, in addition to providing all participants with an excellent luncheon! Great experience, highly recommend!
